[Gr. "armo`s a joint + te`mnein to cut: cf. F.
harmotome.] (Min.) A hydrous silicate of alumina
and baryta, occurring usually in white cruciform crystals; cross-
stone.
&fist; A related mineral, called lime harmotome, and
Phillipsite, contains lime in place of baryta.
