exspectare: cf. F. expectant.] Waiting in
expectation; looking for; (Med.) waiting for the
efforts of nature, with little active treatment.
Expectant estate (Law), an estate in
expectancy. See under Expectancy.

expectation; one held in dependence by hope of receiving some
