to put on the back, to endorse; pref. en- (L. in) +
dos back, L. dorsum. See Dorsal, and cf.
Indorse.] Same as Indorse.

writers; but the tendency is to the more general use of
indorse and its derivatives indorsee, indorser,
and indorsement.
