Ek`a*sil"i*con (?), n. [Skr.
ēka one + E. silicon.] (Chem.) The
name of a hypothetical element predicted and afterwards discovered
and named germanium; -- so called because it was a missing
analogue of the silicon group. See Germanium, and cf.
Ekabor.
