Rho`di*zon"ic (?), a. [Gr. &?;&?;&?; to
be rose-red.] (Chem.) Pertaining to, or designating, a
colorless crystalline substance (called rhodizonic acid, and
carboxylic acid) obtained from potassium carboxide and from
certain quinones. It forms brilliant red, yellow, and purple
salts.
