+ -yl + -ic.] (Chem.) Pertaining to, or
designating, an acid of the acrylic acid series, metameric with
crotonic acid, and obtained as a colorless liquid; -- so called from
having four carbon atoms in the molecule. Called also isocrotonic
acid.
