Pur"sy (?), a. [OF. pourcif,
poulsif, poussif, fr. pousser to push, thrust,
heave, OF. also poulser: cf. F. pousse the heaves,
asthma. See Push.] Fat and short-breathed; fat, short, and
thick; swelled with pampering; as, pursy insolence.
