Pip*sis"se*wa (?), n. [From American
Indian.] (Bot.) A low evergreen plant (Chimaphila
umbellata), with narrow, wedge-lanceolate leaves, and an umbel of
pretty nodding fragrant blossoms. It has been used in nephritic
diseases. Called also prince's pine.
