parsimonia, parcimonia; cf. parcere to spare,
parsus sparing: cf. F. parcimonie.] Closeness or
sparingness in the expenditure of money; -- generally in a bad sense;
excessive frugality; niggardliness. Bacon.

table. Thackeray.
