- (music) A percussive exercise (one of 26 drum rudiments) which involves playing one hit with the leading hand, the next with the other, followed by two hits with the leading hand, usually followed by a second paradiddle using the other hand to lead. Thus, if R represents the right hand and L represents the left hand, a paradiddle led by the right hand would be played RLRR. A continuous roll of paradiddles would usually be RLRRLRLL...
