Obscenities (#). [L. obscentias: cf.F.
obscénité.] That quality in words or things
which presents what is offensive to chasity or purity of mind;
obscene or impure lanquage or acts; moral impurity; lewdness;
obsceneness; as, the obscenity of a speech, or a
picture.
