OF. noisance, nuisance, fr. L. nocentia guilt,
fr. nocere to hurt, harm; akin to necare to kill. Cf
Necromancy, Nocent, Noxious, Pernicious.]
That which annoys or gives trouble and vexation; that which is
offensive or noxious.
