Met`a*tar"sus (?), n.; pl.
Metatarsi (#). [NL. See Meta-, and
Tarsus.] (Anat.) That part of the skeleton of the
hind or lower limb between the tarsus and phalanges; metatarse. It
consists, in the human foot, of five bones. See Illustration
in Appendix.
