A tree unusually hard, strong, or heavy wood.

unrelated trees; in China, the Metrosideros vera; in India,
the Mesua ferrea, and two species of Inga; in
Australia, the Eucalyptus Sideroxylon, and in many countries,
species of Sideroxylon and Diospyros, and many other
trees.
