incrassare; pref. in- in + crassus thick.]
To make thick or thicker; to thicken; especially, in pharmacy,
to thicken (a liquid) by the mixture of another substance, or by
evaporating the thinner parts.
Acids dissolve or attenuate; alkalies precipitate or
incrassate.
