fr. prendre to take, L. prehendere. See
Comprehend, Get to obtain.] Not to be stormed, or
taken by assault; incapable of being subdued; able to resist attack;
unconquerable; as, an impregnable fortress; impregnable
virtue.
The man's affection remains wholly unconcerned and
impregnable.
