Groats (?), n. pl. [OE. grot,
AS. grātan; akin to Icel. grautr porridge, and to
E. gritt, grout. See Grout.] Dried grain,
as oats or wheat, hulled and broken or crushed; in high milling,
cracked fragments of wheat larger than grits.
