Go*mu"ti (?), n. [Malayan
gumuti.] A black, fibrous substance resembling horsehair,
obtained from the leafstalks of two kinds of palms, Metroxylon
Sagu, and Arenga saccharifera, of the Indian islands. It
is used for making cordage. Called also ejoo.
