Em"o*din (?), n. (Chem.) An orange-red crystalline substance, C₁₅H₁₀O₅, obtained from the buckthorn, rhubarb, etc., and regarded as a derivative of anthraquinone; -- so called from a species of rhubarb (Rheum emodei).
