Church. The word is also applied locally in the United States, in
colloquial speech, to any clergyman.
2. [From Sp. domine a schoolmaster.]
(Zoöl.) A West Indian fish (Epinula
magistralis), of the family Trichiuridæ. It is a
long-bodied, voracious fish.
