Di`a*gom"e*ter (?), n. [Gr. &?; to
transmit + -meter.] A sort of electroscope, invented by
Rousseau, in which the dry pile is employed to measure the amount of
electricity transmitted by different bodies, or to determine their
conducting power. Nichol.
