Clo"ver (klō"v&etilde;r), n. [OE. claver, clover, AS. cl&aemacr;fre; akin to LG. & Dan. klever, D. klaver, G. klee, Sw. klöfver.] (Bot.) A plant of different species of the genus Trifolium; as the common red clover, T. pratense, the white, T. repens, and the hare's foot, T. arvense.
