Definition of Cathalic

Cath"o*lic (kăth"&osl;*&ibreve;k), a. [L. catholicus, Gr. kaqoliko`s, universal, general; kata` down, wholly + "o`los whole, probably akin to E. solid: cf. F. catholique.] 1. Universal or general; as, the catholic faith.
