rich silk stuff, OF. baudequin. See Baldachin.] The
richest kind of stuff used in garments in the Middle Ages, the web being
gold, and the woof silk, with embroidery: -- made originally at
Bagdad. [Spelt also baudkin, baudkyn, bawdekin,
and baldakin.] Nares.
