As`sue*fac"tion (&?;), n. [L.
assuefacere to accustom to; assuetus (p. p. of
assuescere to accustom to) + facere to make; cf. OF.
assuefaction.] The act of accustoming, or the state of being
accustomed; habituation. [Obs.]
Custom and studies efform the soul like wax, and by
assuefaction introduce a nature.
