Ab*scond" (&?;), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Absconded; p. pr. & vb. n. Absconding.] [L. abscondere to hide; ab, abs + condere to lay up; con + dăre (only in comp.) to put. Cf. Do.] 1. To hide, withdraw, or be concealed.
